Son of club owner Stephen Vaughan, James was signed in February 2006 from Tranmere Rovers and made a small number of reserve and youth team appearances last season. James is the younger of the two Vaughan brothers and made his debut as a substitute in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match at Chesterfield in November 2006. Moved on a one month loan to Nationwide Conference North club Droylsden on 29 December 2006.
