[Eddie Bishop]The first goal at the Deva Stadium was scored in that opening match by Stockport County’s Chris Beaumont. The first Chester goal was scored by Eddie Bishop in the same game.

The most frequent league visitors to the ground are Leyton Orient, Mansfield Town, Scarborough and Swansea City with seven visits. When cup games are taken into consideration the most appearances have been made by Hull City and Swansea City (eight each).
Seven current members of the Premier League have played a competitive match here: Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bolton Wanderers, Fulham, Manchester City, Sunderland, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Of the teams who have made more than one league visit to the ground Chester have a 100% League record against Dover Athletic and Nuneaton Borough. On the other side of the coin Bradford City, Brentford, Crewe Alexandra, Forest Green Rovers, Huddersfield Town and Southport have all won two league games out of two.
The team with the worst record at the Deva Stadium is Hereford United who have lost four league games out of five. They also lost their only cup visit, in the FA Trophy, last season. Leyton Orient have the best record with four wins out of seven.
Hartlepool United have never won a league game here in six visits although they have won a game in the Auto Windscreens shield. Torquay United have never won a game in five visits. Conversely Cambridge United are unbeaten in five visits.
Scarborough have the worst defensive record having conceded 15 goals while Leyton Orient have scored 13 in their seven visits.
