FORWARD SIGNS
The Blues have announced
the signing of 28-year-olf forward Offrande Zanzala
following his release at the end of last season
by Torquay United. He has previously had a short
loan spell at Chester back in 2017/18.

EDDIE LOYDEN
Chester FC are sorry to hear
of the death of former player Eddie Lloyden who
has died at the age of 79. A tall, rangy centre
forward Eddie had two spells with the club during
the late sixties and early seventies and had an
impressive goal scoring record of 48 goals in 99
Football League appearances.

BARNEY DANIELS Barney
Daniels, who became Chester’s record signing
in summer 1975, has passed away at the age of 74.
A stocky striker with a powerful shot Chester never
saw the best of the centre forward and he only managed
nine Football League appearances for the club before
departing for Stockport County where he was more
successful.

NEW DEAL FOR ROBERTS
Kevin Roberts has signed
a new one year deal that keeps him in a dual role
of player and physio at the club. It will be the
defender’s tenth year at the club as a first
team player over two spells.

MIDFIELDER SIGNS
Chester have signed 22-year-old
midfielder Fin Shrimpton from Scunthorpe United
on a one year deal, he spent a period last season
on loan at Spennymoor Town.

NEW APPOINTMENT
The club have announced that
Jane Phillipson is to be the new Welfare Officer,
she takes over from Marion Needham who has undertaken
the role for the last eight years.

BURKE MOVES TO WALSLL
Harrison Burke has
left Chester to join League Two side Walsall for
an undisclosed fee, the 22-year-old defender has
signed a three year deal with The Saddlers. Burke
has been at Chester for over ten years, first joining
the Academy as an under-13. Manager Steve Watson
gave the youngster his senior debut in February
2022 and he opened
the scoring in the 5-0 demolition of Southport.
Last season saw Harrison score a remarkable 13 goals
in 52+1 appearances, that achievement saw him pick
up the Away Travel Player of the Season, the Men’s
Players’ Player of the Season and the CFU
Men’s Player of the Season awards. He was
also named in the National League North team of
the year. He was also involved in work for the Community
Trust.
In total Harrison made 140+14 appearances for the
Blues scoring 24 goals.

NEW DEAL FOR SKIPPER
Connell Rawlinson
has signed a new one year deal at Chester. The 33-year-old
will take on a player/coach role at the club next
season. Rawlinson started his career at the Chester
City Academy and returned to the club from Notts
County last summer, he made 37+1 appearances for
the Blues scoring two goals last season.

The club have announced
a second home pre-season friendly and it will take
place on Saturday 19 July against Salford City,
kick-off 15.00hrs.

BLUES ARE GLENTORAN BOUND
Chester have announced
that they will play a pre-season friendly against
Glentoran in Belfast on Saturday 26 July. The match
at The Oval will kick-off at 14.00hrs. The squad
are heading to Northern Ireland on Thursday 24 July
for a two day training camp and will be based an
hour outside of Belfast.

DYLAN SIGNS ON
Forward Dylan Mottley-Henry has
signed a new deal at Chester. The 27-year-old had
spent part of last season on a dual registration
with FC United of Manchester. He made 8+15 appearances
for Chester, scoring three goals last season.
